microbeggs. a microbag that transforms an easter egg into a fashion accessory, and a collection of decorative stickers that reinterprets the tradition of hand painting.
in 2025, both catholics and orthodox christians celebrate easter on the same day. for such a unique occasion, we wanted to create something special. decorating eggs is a tradition, so we came up with the ultimate decoration.
we were inspired by the trend of microbags, where people carry lighters, earbuds, and combs. so we designed a microbag for an easter egg.
the microbag fits eggs of size c0 and smaller. it also perfectly holds earbuds, lipstick, and even nasal spray.
the strap transforms into three modes:
- 120 cm can be worn crossbody,
- 90 cm can be worn as a pendant,
- 30 cm can be worn as a bag charm.
each microbag is lovingly handwoven from climbing paracord and satin cord in the moscow region.
the decorative sticker collection complements the microbag perfectly. it reimagines hand painting and makes it as easy and accessible as jibbitz customization.
in the past, each egg was painted by hand. these were called “krashenkis”. over time, the tradition faded and people simply dyed the eggs. we wanted to revive the tradition using modern design practices to make it simpler and more accessible.
the collection includes 14 decorative stickers. you can use them to create your own pattern, just like artisans once did. 14 stickers make over 6,000 unique combinations possible.
